Addressing a Concern
KYSA encourages positive behaviour for all players, coaches, parents, staff and volunteers. Expectations will always vary between parents, players and coaches. Open communication is the key to a positive and supportive environment for each participant. We encourage every member to bring their concerns forward as early as possible and to the appropriate person.
When bringing forward any concern it is best to seek a positive and collaborative approach to solving the issue at hand. With most situations the coach is unaware of the concern you have and is appreciative when you come forward as they genuinely want to see your child getting the most out of their KYSA experience.
Please follow the steps below if you have an issue to report:
Step 1: Contact your child’s coach.
Step 2: If your coach is unable to solve the issue, please reach out to either Technical Director, Ciaran McMahon or General Manager, Lyle Dos Santos
Step 3: If our staff are unable to solve the issue, please reach out to the appropriate member of the Board of Directors
Accountability / Follow Up
We are committed to following up on issues in a timely and professional manner. When the office is made aware of an issue we will do the following:
Step 1: Send formal notification to the party involved.
Step 2: If the issue persists, an in-person meeting will be held.
Step 3: Further behaviour problems could result in an individual being restricted from attending games/practices.
